Since its founding, Canal 26 (Eventos Producciones S.A.) has been owned by former congressman Alberto Pierri. It is Telecentro's flagship channel, a paid content TV company with 7% of all the country’s paid content subscribers.
For years, it ranked among the five most watched news channels, and its screen featured nationally renowned journalists, such as Chiche Gelblung and Jorge Lanata. However, audience ratings and advertising revenue have plunged as of late, according to its owner.
