Radio Con Vos

Radio Con Vos is one of the youngest radio brands in Buenos Aires. It started to operate in 1992 under the name of “La Isla”, managed by Gloria López Lecube. The radio name was changed in 2015, when it adopted a purely entertaining format. All its programming included TV hosts. The station’s owner, Kuarzo Entertainment, is one of the most important TV production companies.
Martín Kweller, Kuarzo Entertainment‘s President and owner, purchased the station that had belonged to journalist, host and businesswoman Gloria López Lecube until 2014.
In 2016 Kweller partnered with Carlos Gorosito and Benjamín Vijnovsky, two businessmen with experience in the media sector, to change the radio’s profile. As of 2019, Radio Con Vos is a journalistic FM radio station with a focus on political and economic analysis. Unlike other FM stations, its programs are merely informative, and its journalists come from print media.
Both Kuarzo (Eduardo Cohen owns 10% of the stock and is a close friend of President Mauricio Macri) and Afakot (Gorosito and Vijnovsky’s companies provide services to the Government of the city of Buenos Aires, which also belongs to the national Government ‘s political party) have political links with the current administration. However, the radio station does not have an editorial line supportive of the Government policies.
