The main holding’s company is TeleCentro, a triple play services pioneer (paid content TV, internet access and fixed telephony) in Argentina. It has 7% of paid TV market share, with 850,000 subscribers, and is the only family company in the paid content TV market, which is dominated by multinational groups.
TeleCentro also includes news channel Canal 26, Music Top and Telemax, FM radio station Latina and online news portal diario26.com.ar.
The group's shareholders are Alberto Pierri (former President of the Argentinian Lower House and historic leader of Partido Justicialista in the Greater Buenos Aires area), his children, Silvina, Lisandro and Martín, and his nephew Sebastián, who works as CEO.
TeleCentro was created in the 1990s as a small group of media that broadcasted local content in La Matanza, the largest and most populated district in the Greater Buenos Aires area. Rapidly, Pierri transformed his media into a zonal TV system that started to grow by charging lower fees than those of its competitors, until it became a triple play provider multimedia group.
Although the group’s staff is estimated at over 900 workers, in 2013 the Argentinian Television Trade Union, SAT SAID, released a statement to Argentinian newspapers where it claimed that it had sued the company for outsourcing up to 80% of its service production.

Alberto Pierri is the controlling shareholder and founder of the group and all its companies. During Carlos Menem’s administration (1989–1999), Alberto Pierri was President of the Argentinian Lower House. From 1985 to 2001, he was a congressman for the Partido Justicialista. He is currently fully dedicated to TeleCentro.Valeria Pierri holds a top executive position in Telecentro and is a shareholder, as well as her brothers Lisandro and Martín. She divorced Fernando Guidi, one of the owners of Grupo Guidi, an official car dealership network, and Guidi Posta S.A., a company that outsourced infrastructure and TV OB vans, among other services, for Canal 26. Those operations are now conducted by Labor Corporativa S.A.
